View of the Chicago Loop from the 340 on the Park tower in when it was under construction. This was shot from roughly the 46th floor. The building is 64 stories tall above street level and has a height of 676 feet (206 meters), and was finished in September of 2007.

I have also created a video using photos from the site visit showing the views, construction materials and other nearby buildings also underway at the time. Available for viewing here:[link]

big time: awesome mate. I rarely leave comments but it's good to see a raw picture with such an inner truth. No special effect, but it makes it all!!! Unfinished picture... unfinished structure. Texture is made of emptiness and blue sky reveals its relevance.
Floating sideways, side look to endless urban infinity...
THX for an unmodified urban reality... from inside :) and above!!!

Thanks for the comments.

As much as I appreciate HDR photography as an art, I don't use it because it distorts the true views that I am interested in capturing 99% of the time. I usually only use some minor color corrections and transformations to fix the imperfections of the camera lens. However, aside from adjusting the brightness a bit, this shot really didn't have any corrections added, because the lighting from this angle was just really good. So good in fact, that this was shot with a older, inexpensive point and shoot camera.
